The ADS7832BN is a monolithic CMOS 12-bit analogto-digital converter with internal sample/hold and fourchannel multiplexer. It is designed and tested for full dynamic performance with input signals to 50kHz.The 5V single-supply requirements and standard CS,RD, and WR control signals make the part easy to use in microprocessor applications. Conversion results are available in two bytes through an 8-bit three-state output bus.
Features of the ADS7832BN are:(1) pin compatible to ADC7802 and ADS7803;(2) single supply is +5 V or +3.3 V;(3) low power is 14 mW plus power down;(4) fast conversion time is 8.5 us including acquisition(117 kHz sampling rate);(5) four-channel input multiplexer.
The absolute maximum ratings of the ADS7832BN can be summarized as:(1): VA to analog ground is 7V;(2): VD to digital ground is 7V;(3): VA to VD is ±0.3V;(4): analog ground to digital ground is ±0.3V; (5): control inputs to digital ground is 0.3V to VD + 0.3V;(6): analog input voltage to analog ground is 0.3V to VA + 0.3V;(7): maximum junction temperature is 150°C;(8): internal power dissipation is 875mW;(9): lead temperature (soldering, 10s) is +260°C;(10): thermal resistance, qJA is 75°C/W.
