The ADS1605 is a high-speed, high-precision, deltasigma nalog-to-digital converter (ADC) with 16-bit resolution. The ata rate is 5MSPS, the bandwidth (3dB) is 2.45MHz, and assband ripple is less than ±0.0025dB (to 2.2MHz). The DS1605 offers outstanding performance at these speeds ith a signal-to-noise ratio up to 88dB, total harmonic istortion down to 99dB, and a spurious-free dynamic range p to 101dB.
The input signal is measured against a voltage reference that an be generated on-chip or supplied externally. The digital utput data is provided over a simple parallel interface that asily connects to DSPs. An out-of-range monitor reports hen the input range has been exceeded. The ADS1605 perates from a +5V analog supply (AVDD) and +3V digital upply (DVDD). The digital I/O supply (IOVDD) operates rom +2.7 to +5.25V, enabling the digital interface to support range of logic families. The analog power dissipation is set y an external resistor and can be reduced when operating t slower speeds. A power down mode, activated by a digital /O pin, shuts down all circuitry. The ADS1605 is offered in 64-pin TQFP package using TI PowerPAD technology.
The ADS1605, with its outstanding high-speed erformance is well suited for the demanding easurement requirements of scientific instrumentation, utomated test equipment, data acquisition, and medical maging.
The ADS1605 is designed as a high-speed, high-precision, deltasigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with 16-bit resolution. The data rate is 5MSPS, the bandwidth (3dB) is 2.45MHz, and passband ripple is less than ±0.0025dB (to 2.2MHz). The ADS1605 offers outstanding performance at these speeds with a signal-to-noise ratio up to 88dB, total harmonic distortion down to 99dB, and a spurious-free dynamic range up to 101dB.
