This design guide provides a brief explanation on the basic operation of a computer mouse peripheral, followed by an introduction to Avago Technologies ADNS-7700-XXXX single chip LaserStream navigation sensor. This design guide also includes a schematic, Gerber file for schematic used in ADNK-7703 in PCB layout form, and IGES file on base plate molding features to ensure optical alignment. In addition, the ADNK-7703 reference design mouse unit allows users to evaluate the performance of the LaserStream Tracking Engine (sensor, lens, Led assembly clip, Led) over a USB protocol. This kit also enables users to understand the recommended mechanical assembly.

Description

The ADNK-7703 optical mouse designer's kit is based on ADNS-7700-XXXX single chip LaserStream navigation sensor as the primary navigation engine. This design guide describes how to build a cost-effective, programable function and enhance perfromance LaserStream mouse. The optical mouse is designed to support 3-button, mechanical scroll wheel, tilt wheel, OTF and Keymap. There is sample sensor together with the kit for customer programing to other configuration required.
