The ADC12D040CIVS is designed as a dual, low power monolithic CMOS analog-to-digital converter capable of converting analog input signals into 12-bit digital words at 40 Megasamples per second (Msps), minimum. This converter uses a differential, pipeline architecture with digital error correction and an onchip sample-and-hold circuit to minimize die size and power consumption while providing excellent dynamic performance.
ADC12D040CIVS has seven features. (1)Binary or 2's complement output format. (2)Single supply operation. (3)Internal sample-and-hold. (4)Outputs 2.4V to 5V compatible. (5)Power down mode. (6)Pin-compatible with ADC12DL066. (7)Internal /external reference. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of ADC12D040CIVS have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its VA, VD, VDR would be 6.5V. (2)Its VDR would be VD+0.3V. (3)Its |VAVD| would be max 100mV. (4)Its voltage on any input or output pin would be from -0.3V to (VA or VD +0.3V). (5)Its input current at any pin would be ±25mA. (6)Its package input current would be ±50mA. (7)Its ESD susceptibility would be 2500V for human body model and would be 250V for machine model. (8)Its soldering temperature, infrared, 10 sec would be 235°C. (9)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
