The AD7715AN-5 is designed as a complete analog front end for low frequency measurement applications. The part can accept low level input signals directly from a transducer and outputs a serial digital word. It employs a sigma-delta conversion technique to realize up to 16 bits of no missing codes performance.
AD7715AN-5 has nine features. (1) Charge-balancing ADC which means 16 bits no missing codes and 0.0015% nonlinearity. (2) Programmable gain front end which means gains of 1, 2, 32 and 128 and differential input capability. (3) Three-wire serial interface. (4) SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE and DSP compatible. (5) Ability to buffer the analog input. (6) 3V (AD7715-3) or 5V (AD7715-5) operation. (7) Low supply current: 450uA max @ 3V supplies. (8) Low-pass filter with programmable output update. (9) 16-lead SOIC/DIP/TSSOP. That are all the main features.
