The AD7665ASTZ is designed as a 16-bit, 570 kSPS, charge redistribution SAR, analog-to-digital converter that operates from a single 5 V power supply. It contains a high speed 16-bit sampling ADC, a resistor input scaler that allows various input ranges, an internal conversion clock, error correction circuits, and both serial and parallel system interface ports.
AD7665ASTZ has fifteen features. (1) Throughput is 570 kSPS (warp mode) and 500 kSPS (normal mode). (2) INL: ±2.5 LSB max (±0.0038% of full scale). (3) 16-bit resolution with no missing codes. (4) S/(N+D): 90 dB typ @ 180 kHz. (5) THD: -100 dB typ @ 180 kHz. (6) Analog input voltage ranges would be bipolar: ±10V, ±5V, ±2.5V and unipolar: 0V to 10V, 0V to 5V, 0V to 2.5V. (7) Both AC and DC specifications. (8) No pipeline delay. (9) Parallel (8/16 bits) and serial 5V/3V interface. (10) SPI / QSPI / MICROWIRE / DSP compatible. (11) Single 5V supply operation. (12) Power dissipation is 64mW typical and 15uW @ 100 SPS. (13) Power-down mode: 7uW max. (14) Package: 48-lead quad flatpack (LQFP). (15) Package: 48-lead chip scale (LFCSP). Also some absolute maximum ratings of AD7665ASTZ have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its analog inputs would be from -11V to +30V for IND, INC, INB and would be from AGND-0.3V to AVDD + 0.3V for INA, REF, INGND, REFGND. (2) Its ground voltage differences would be +/-0.3V for AGND, DGND, OGND. (3) Its supply voltages would be from -0.3V to +7V for AVDD, DVDD, OVDD and would be +/-7V for AVDD to DVDD, AVDD to OVDD and would be from -0.3V to +7V for DVDD to OVDD and would be from -0.3V to DVDD + 0.3V for digita inputs. (4) Its internal power dissipation would be 700mW (48-Lead LQFP). (5) Its internal power dissipation would be 2.5W (48-Lead LFCSP). (5) Its junction temperature would be 150°C.
