The AD7571 is designed as a high speed, low cost 10-bit plus CMOS AD converter which uses the successive approximation technique to provide a conversion time of 80us. It is for easy microprocessor interface allowing full parallel or double byte reading over over three-state outputs. Conversion results are also available in serial form allowing opto-isolated operation using as few as two wires for the interconnect.

AD7571 has nine features. (1)10-bit plus sign resolution. (2)No missed codes over full temperature range. (3)Conversion time 80us. (4)Differential analog voltage inputs, +/-10V range. (5)Serial and parallel data outputs. (6)Easy interface to most microprocessors. (7)Internal clock oscillator. (8)Single supply operation for positive only signals. (9)Monolithic construction. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of AD7571 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its Vdd to AGND would be from 0V to +17V. (2)Its Vdd to DGND would be from 0V to +17V. (3)Its Vcc to DGND would be from 0V to Vdd+0.4V. (4)Its Vss to AGND would be from 0V to -17V. (5)Its Vss to DGND would be from 0V to -17V. (6)Its AGND to DGND would be from -0.3V to Vdd. (7)Its digital input voltage to DGND (pins 7, 8, 22, 24, 25) would be from -0.3V to Vcc. (8)Its CLK IN input voltage (pin 26) to DGND would be from -0.3V to Vdd. (9)Its digital output voltage to DGND (pins 10-20, 23, 27, 28) would be from -0.3V to Vcc. (10)Its Vref to AGND would be from -0.3V to Vdd. (11)Its AIN(+), AIN(-) to AGND would be from Vss to Vdd. (12)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (13)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 70°C for JN, KN. (14)Its lead temperature (soldering 10secs) would be +300°C. (15)Its power dissipation (any package) would be 1000mW to 75°C and 10mW/°C derates above +75°C. And so on.
