The AD562 is designed as monolithic 12-bit digital to analog converters consisting of especially designed precision bipolar switches and control amplifiers and compatible high stability silicon chromium thin film resistors. A unique combination of advanced circuit design, high stability SiCr thin film resistor processing and laser trimming technology provide it with true 12-bit accuracy. The maximum error at +25°C is limited to LSB on all versions and monotonicity is guaranteed over the full operating temperature range. It is recommended for high accuracy 12-bit DA converter applications where true 12-bit performance is required, but low cost and small size are considerations. Both devices are also ideal for use in constructing AD conversion systems and as building blocks for higher resolution DA systems. J and K versions are specified for operation over the 0°C to +70°C temperature range, the S and T for operation over the extended temperature range, -55°C to +125°C.
AD562 has six features. The first one is true 12-bit accuracy. The second one is guaranteed monotonicity over full temperature range. The third one is hermetic 24-pin DIP. The fourth one is TTL/DTL and CMOS compatibility. The fifth one is positive true logic. The sixth one is MIL-STD-883-compliant versions available. That are all the main features.
Some characteristics about AD562. The first one is about its data inputs open circuit bit ON logic 1 which would be +2V and for bit OFF logic 0 it would be +0.8V max. The second one is about its output current which would be -1.6mA min and -2.0mA typ and -2.4mA max for unipolar and would be 0.8mA min and 1.0mA typ and 1.2mA max for bipolar.
