The AD5425 is a CMOS 8-bit current output digital-to-analogconverter that operates from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V power supply,making it suited to battery-powered applications and manyother applications.This DAC AD5425 utilizes a double buffered 3-wire serial interface thatis compatible with SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and mostDSP interface standards. In addition, an LDAC pin is provided,which allows simultaneous update in a multi-DAC configuration.On power-up, the internal shift register and latches are filledwith 0s and the DAC outputs are at 0 V.
As a result of processing on a CMOS submicron process, this DAC AD5425 offers excellent 4-quadrant multiplication characteristics,with large signal multiplying bandwidths of 10 MHz.The applied external reference input voltage (VREF) determinesthe full-scale output current. An integrated feedback resistor (RFB)provides temperature tracking and full-scale voltage outputwhen combined with anexternal I-to-V precision amplifier.The AD5425 DAC is available in a small 10-lead MSOP package.
