8741A

The 8741A is designed as universal peripheral interface 8 nit microcomputer.

8741A has many features. The first one is 8-bit CPU plus ROM, I/O, timer and clock in a single package. The second one is one 8-bit status and two data registers for asynchronous slave-to-master interface. The third one is DMA, interrupt, or polled operating supported. The fourth one is 1024 x 8 EPROM, 64 x 8 RAM, 8-bit timer / counter, 18 programmable I/O pins. The fifth one is fully compatible with all microprocessor families. The sixth one is 3.6MHz 8471A-8 available. The seventh one is expandable I/O. The eighth one is one is RAM power - down capability. The ninth one is over 90 instructions: 70% single byte. The tenth one is available in EXPRESS which means standard temperature range and extended temperature range. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of 8741A have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its ambient temperature under bias which would be from 0°C to +70°C. The second one is about its storage temperature range which would be from -65°C to +150°C. The third one is about its voltage on any pin with respect to ground which would be from 0.5V to +7V. The fourth one is about its power dissipation which would be 1.5W. It should be noted that stressing the device beyong the "absolute maximum ratings" may cause permanent damage. These are stress ratings only.

Also some DC characteristics about 8741A. The first one is about its input low voltage (except XTAL1, XTAL2, RESET) which would be min -0.5V and max 0.8V. The second one is about its input low voltage (XTAL1, XTAL2, RESET) which would be min -0.5V and max 0.6V. The third one is about its input high voltage (except XTAL1, XTAL2, RESET) which would be min 2.2V and max Vcc V.
