The 81CNQ035A center tap Schottky rectifier module series has been optimized for low reverse leakage at high temperature. The proprietary barrier technology allows for reliable operation up to 175 junction temperature. 81CNQ035A applications are in switching power supplies, converters, free-wheeling diodes, and reverse battery protection.
The 81CNQ035A has seven features. The first one is 175 TJ operation. The second one is center tap module. The third one is high purity, high temperature epoxy encapsulation for enhanced mechanical strength and moisture resistance. The fourth one is low forward voltage drop. The fifth one is high frequency operation. The sixth one is guard ring for enhanced ruggedness and long term reliability. The seventh one is new fully transfer-mold low profile, small footprint, high current package.
The 81CNQ035A has some absolute maximum ratings. When parameter is IF(AV) Max. average forward current, the limits is 80,the units is A,the condition is 50% duty cycle @ TC =141, square wave form. When parameter is IFSM Max. peak one cycle non-repetitive surge current, the limits is 4600,the units is A,the condition is 5s sine or 3s rect.pulse following any rated load condition and with rated VRRM applied. When parameter is IFSM Max. peak one cycle non-repetitive surge current ,the limits is 790,the units is A,the condition is 10ms Sine or 6ms rect.pulse following any rated load condition and with rated VRRM applied. When parameter is EAS non-repetitive avalanche energy, the limits is 54,the units is mJ,the conditions is TJ=25, IAS=8 Amps, L=1.7 mH.When parameter is IAR repetitive avalanche current, the limits is 8,the units is A,the conditions is current decaying linearly to zero in 1 sec frequency limited by TJ max. VA = 1.5 x VR typical.
