Description

The 80SQ030 is designed as one kind of 8 amp schottky power rectifier device that can be operated at 175 Tj. This device employs the "B30" process which results in a very low ratio of reverse leakage current to junction temperature. In addition to improvements in reliability and performance, the 80SQ030 is a rugged device with a guaranteed repetitive peak reverse voltage capability and excellent ability to withstand reverse energy transients. Also it can be used in both existing and new designs.

Features of the 80SQ030 are:(1)economical axial lead package;(2)175 Tj operation;(3)extremely low reverse leakage: 13 mA at 125 ;(4)no voltage derating on VRWM over temperature range;(5)provides extremely high power supply reliability;(6)no thermal runaway at rated temperature and operating parameters;(7)a guaranteed repetitive peak reverse voltage capability for short pulses which is 20% above VRWM;(8)ability to withstand reverse energy transients.
