The 80C49AP is designed as a single chip microcomputer fabricated in silicon gate CMOS technology which provides internal 8-bit parallel architecture. It is particularly efficient as a controller. It has extensive bit handling capability as well as facilities for both binary and BCD arithmetic.
80C49AP has six features. (1)1.36us instruction cycle time. (2)Software upward compatible with TMP8049AP or intel 8049. (3)2Kx8 masked ROM and 128x8 RAM. (4)Low power which would be 10mA max in normal operation at Vcc=5V, fXRAL=6MHz and 10uA max in power down mode at Vcc=5V and fXTAL:DC. (5)Power down mode (stand-by mode). (6)Halt mode (Idle mode). Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of 80C49AP have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its Vcc supply voltage (with respect to GND(Vss)) would be from -0.5V to 7V. (2)Its input voltage except EA would be from -0.5V to Vcc+0.5V. (3)Its input voltage only EA would be from -0.5V to 13V. (4)Its power dissipation would be 250mW. (5)Its soldering temperature (soldering time 10 seconds) would be 260°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (7)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
