The 4449UB is designed as CMOS HEX inverter which consists of six CMOS inverter circuits.It is pin-compatible with the 4009UB, 4049UB, and equivalent device types.In systems which do not require the high output current and level-shifting capabilities of the buffers, 4449UB can be substituted directly with no change in board layout.The 4449UB is particularly useful for quasilinear circuits, such as oscillators and multivibrators.
4449UB has three features.The first one is that it would be all inputs fully diode protected.The second one is that it would be pin compatibal with 4009B, 4049B.The third one is that 4449UB would be fully "B"-series compatible.That are all the features.
Some recommended operating conditions and absolute maximum raings of 4449UB have been concluded into several points as follow.For maximum reliability its DC supply voltage would be from 3 to 15 Vdc.The operating temperature of it would be from -55 to +125°C for C and would be from -40 to +85°C for E.
