      The 42-21 SMD taping is designed to be much smaller than lead frame type components, thus enable smaller board size, higher packing density,reduced storage space and finally smaller equipment to be obtained.Besides,they would be ideal for miniature applications with its advantage of lightweight.

      42-21 has six features.The first one is that it would be packaged in 12mm tape on 7diameter reel.The second one is that 42-21 would be compatible with automatic placement equipment.The third one is that it would be compatible with infrared and vapor phase reflow solder process.The fourth one is that 42-21 would take the mulit-color type.The fifth one is that it would be Pb-free.The last one is that the product itself will remain within RoHS compliant version.It also have four applications.The first one is about its automotive which would be backlighting in dashboard and switch.The second one is about its telecommunication which would be indicator and backlighting in telephone and fax.The third one is that 42-21 would be flat backlight for LCD, switch and symbol.The last one is that it would be general used.
      Some absolute maximum ratings (Ta=25) of 42-21 have been concluded into several points.The first one is about its reverse voltage which would be 5V.The second one is about its forward current which would be 30 mA.The third one is about its operating temperature which would be from -40 ~ +85 .The fourth one is about its storage temperature which would be from -40~ +90 .The fifth one is about the soldering temperature of 42-21 which would be 260 (for 5 second) .The sixth one is about its electrostatic discharge (HBM) which would be 1000 V.The seventh one is about its power dissipation which would be 130 mW.The eighth one is about its peak forward current(Duty 1/10 @1KHz) which would be 70 mA.The last one is still about the soldering temperature of 42-21 which would be 260 for 10 sec of reflow soldering and 350 for 3 sec of hand soldering.
