The 40TPS...APbF is one of the 40TPS...APbF high voltage Series. The 40TPS...APbF can be described as followings. If you want to use it rightly, you must read it. The 40TPS...APbF High Voltage Series of silicon controlled rectifiers are specifically designed for medium power switching and phase control applications. The glass passivation technology used has reliable operation up to 125 °C junction temperature. Low Igt parts available. Typical applications are in input rectification (soft start) and these products are designed to be used with Vishay HPP input diodes, switches and output rectifiers which are available in identical package outlines. This 40TPS...APbF has been designed and qualified for industrial level and lead (Pb)-free ("PbF" suffix).

The first is maximum average on-state current, which is 35 A, the second is maximum continuous RMS on-state current as AC switch, which is 55A, the third is maximum peak, one-cycle non-repetitive surge current which is 500A or 600A, the fourth is maximum I2t for fusing, which is 1250 A2S or 1760 A2S, the fifth is maximum I2t for fusing, which is 12500 A2s, the sixth is low level value of threshold voltage, which is 1.02v, the seventh is high level value of threshold voltage, which is1.23v, the eighth is low level value of on-state slope resistance, which is 9.74m, the ninth is high level value of on-state slope resistance, which is 7.50 m, the tenth is maximum peak on-state voltage, which is 1.85v, the eleventh is maximum rate of rise of turned-on current, which is 100 A/s, the next is maximum holding current, which is 150mA, the thirteenth is maximum latching current, which is300 mA, the fourteenth is maximum reverse and direct leakage current, which is 0.5 or 10mA, the fifteenth is maximum rate of rise of off-state voltage 40TPS08, which is 500 V/s, the last is maximum rate of rise of off-state voltage 40TPS12, which is1000 V/s.
