The 34017-1P is designed as one kind of telephone tone ringer and with the power supply by rectifying the AC ringing signal, this device can activate a tone generator and drive a piezo-ceramic transducer. Features of this device are:(1)input impedance signature meets bell and EIA standards; (2)rejects rotary dial transient; (3)complete telephone bell replacement circuit with minimum external components; (4)on-chip diode bridge and transient protection; (5)direct drive for piezoelectric transducers; (6)push pull output stage for greater output power capability.
