      The 2SC2551 is designed as silicon NPN epitaxial type (PCT process) whose typical applications contains hight voltage control applications,plasma display, nixie tube driver applications and cathode ray tube brightness control applications.
      2SC2551 has four features.The first one is that it would have high voltage which means Vcbo=300 V, Vceo=300 V.The second one is that it would have low saturation voltage which means Vce(sat)=0.5 V (max).The third one is that it would have small collector output capacitance which means Cob = 3 pF (typ.).The last one is that it would be complementary to 2SA1091.
      Some absolute maximum ratings of 2SC2551(Tc=25°C) have been concluded into several points as follow.The first one is about its collector-base voltage which would be 300V with condition of open emitter.The second one is about its collector-emitter voltage which would be 300V with condition of open base.The third one is about its emitter-base voltage which would be 6V with condition of open collector.The fourth one is about its collector current which would be 100mA.The fifth one is about its base current which would be 20mA.The sixth one is about its collector power dissipation which would be 400 mW.The sixth one is about its junction temperature which would be which would be 150°C.The seventh one is about its storage temperature which would also be within -55 to +150°C.Something should be noted that using continuously under heavy loads (e.g. the application of high temperature/current/voltage and the significant change in temperature, etc.) may cause this product to decrease in the reliability significantly even if the operating conditions (i.e. operating temperature/current/voltage, etc.) are within the absolute maximum ratings.
      Also some important electrical characteristics (Ta=25°C unless otherwise specified) about 2SC2551.The first one is about its collector-emitter breakdown voltage which would be 300(min) V with condition of Ic=1mA, Ib=0.The second one is about its collector-base breakdown voltage which would be 300(min) V with condition of Ic=0.1 mA, Ie=0.The third one is about its collector cut-off current which would be 0.1(max) A with condition of Vcb=300 V, Ie=0.The fourth one is about its emitter cut-off current which would be 0.1(max) A with condition of Veb=6V, Ic=0.And so on.For more information please contact us.
