      The 2901 series (Insert Molded Coil) is plastic molded, high reliability, while it is also low cost.
      When tested by Q meter (HP 4342A), the electrical parameters are got rang from 2901-01 to 2901-10. When wire =22 T.C., test Freq. (MHz)=50, the turns for 2901-01 to 2901-06 are 1.50, 2.50, 3.50, 4.50, 5.50, 6.50, while the L±5%(nH) are 27.0, 32.0, 38.5, 47.5, 59.0, 70.0, the Q min are 69, 80, 82, 82, 95, 100, and the color are brown, red, orange, yellow, green and blue.
      Under the conditions of Wire=22.S.P., Test Freq. (MHz)=25, the results of turns(from 2901-07 to 2901-10) are 7.50, 8.50, 9.50, 10.50, L±5% (nH)=87.0, 104.0, 125.0 140.0, Q min.= 90, 92, 80, 80, while the color are violet, gray, white, black. Then some things should be seen, Q and L measured with ½" long of TCW#16 soldered along the coil leads and with one end flush with the bottom of the coil then bent ¼" down from stand off at an angle of 90°. Inductance greater than 0.1uH read at recommended Q meter frequency. L min. measured with core halfway out of the top of the form. Inductance below 0.1uH calculated from readings taken at 50MHz
