The 27EP4 is a magenetic-focus and deflection, direct-view all-glass picture tube which provides a 24-by 181/2 inch picture ofr television applicaitons.The electron gun is designed for use with an external single-field ion-trap magnet. Other features of this tube include a high-quality gray faceplate which increase picture contrast and detail under high-ambient-light conditions,a reflective aluminized screen to increase light otput, and a space-saving rectangular face shape.

There are some electrical 27EP4 specifications: Heater voltage is 6.3 V. Heater current is 0.6 A(10% more or less). Deflection angle,approx: Diagonal is 90 degrees,Horizontal is 85 degrees and vertical is 70 degrees.Direct interelectrode capacitance,approx: Cathode to all ther electrodes is 5 uuf and Grid-No.1 to all other electrodes is 6 uuf.Maximum ratings: Anode voltage is 20,000 Vdc max. Grid-no.2 voltage is 500 Vdc max. Grid-no.1 voltage: Negative-bias value is 125 Vdc  max. Positive-bias value is 0 max. Positive-peak value is 2 V max.
