The 24LC04B is designed as one kind of 4K-or 8K-bit electrically erasable PROM which is organized as two or four blocks of 256 x 8 bit memory with a two wire serial interface. With the help of low voltage design, it permits operation down to 2.5 volts with standby and active currents of only 5A and 1mA respectively. Also 24LC04B has a page-write capability for up to 16 bytes of data. The IN24LC04B/08B is available in the standard 8-pin DIP.

The absolute maximum ratings of the 24LC04B can be summarized as:(1)Vcc:7.0 V;(2)all inputs and outputs w.r.t.Vss:-0.3V to Vcc+1.0V;(3)storage temper-ature:-65 to +150;(4)ambient temp. with power applied:-40 to +85;(5)soldering temperature of leads (10 seconds):+300 ;(6)ESD protection on all pins:> 4 kV.
