      The model 1851B lonization smoke detector's unique unipolar chamber reponds quickly and uniformly to the broadest range of fires and can withstand wond qusets up to 2500 feet-per-minute without false alarming. Because of its unipolar chamber , the 1851B us approximately two times more responsive than most converntional lonization detectors. Therefore, its sensitivity can be set farther from the threshold of alarm. This makes it a more stable detector that is less prone to false alarms. The sensitivity is preset at the factory, but may be adjusted within prescribe limits in the filed.To further improve stablity , the 1851B has built-in five-seconds delay feature.
