The MAX13184E is designed as one kind of +5.0V, ±15kV ESD-protected, half-duplex / full-duplex, RS-485 transceiver that can be used in (1)industrial control; (2)motor drive control; (3)telecom; (4)security system; (5)instrumentation applications. This device has a 1/8 unit-load input receiver that allows up to 256 transceivers on the bus, and is available in industry-standard 14-pin SO packages.
