The 100156 is designed as mask merge / latch which merges two 4-bit words to from a 4-bit output word. The AMn enable allows the merge of A into B by one, two or three places (per the ASn value) from the left. The BMn enable similarly allows the merge of B into A from the left (per the BSn value). The B merge overrides the A merge when both are enables. This means A first merges into B and B then merges into the A merge. If the B address is equal to or greater than the A address, then outputs are forced to B.
Some absolute maximum ratings of 100156 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. (2) Its maximum junction temperature would be 150°C. (3) Its case temperature under bias would be from 0°C to +85°C. (4) Its Vee pin potential to ground pin would be from -7.0V to +0.5V. (5) Its input voltage DC would be from Vee to +0.5V. (6) Its output current (DC output high) would be -50mA. (7) Its operating range would be from -5.7V to -4.2V.
