These high spec keypads are part of the STORM 1000 series Anti-vandal/industrial keypad range.Ideal for use in applications where toughness, resistance to water/dust, and low weight is required . Similar to the STORM 1000 series in desing, PLX keypads are cased in a revolutionary super high impact polymer, for resistance to abuse and attack. The high impact polymer case replaces the cast metal case, reducing cost and weight. Cast metal keypads are retained to provide keytop graphics with unsupassable toughness and wear resistance.

STORM 1000 series has many uniuqe features: The first one is 4,12 and 16 key formats. The second one is black case, silver Chrome keys. The third one is telephone and calculator format keytop graphics. The forth one is IP65 rated against water and dust. The fifth one is high level resistance to impact and operator abuse. The sixth one is long and reliable operational life (4 million plus operations per key).The seventh one is it is compatible with the universal encoder(4000000). The eighth one is quick and easy to install. The ninth one is top surface or under panel mountable. The tenth one is -40(dry) to 100 operational.
