Provides horizontal def action voltage for crt and time advance information for comparator tube in strobe generator. Increase of d-c bias superimposed on staircase advances start of sampling with respect to start of ramp, decreasing op parent lime delay in start of d-c trace. Blanking indicator in staircase generator is on when screen is blanked. Scan indicator lashes when staircase is sweeping. Staircase advances one stop for each displayed sample.-W. E.
