High input impedance at one of differential inputs of precision rectifier is achieved with opamp A1 whose output is switched between inputs of in-strumentation amplifier A2 by diodes. This switching reverses polarity of gain provided by A2, when signal polarity changes, so output signal is always positive.-J.
