Q11 and Q2 form oscillator section of tim-base generator, and Q3-Q4 serve as pulse shaper. Q1 is grounded-base voltage amplifier with tuned collector load.Q2 matches impedance of Q1 collector circuit to crystal. Output amplitude is limited by zener diode D1-R.S.
