Drives JK or RS flip-flops to provide markers at 10-kHz or 20-kHz intervals for calibrating transmitter, receiver, or transceiver. D1 and D2, used to stabilize output, can be eliminated if desired; R5 and R6 are then grounded directly. Transistor and diode types are not critical.-G. F.
