Has low sensitivity to impulse noise, wide dynamic range, high gain, and flexibility, since quench oscillator components are at r-f potential and feedback adjustments more easily made. Oscillates at 27 Mc as modified Hartley with interelectrode capacitances tuned by L1, and also oscillates at 25-kc quench frequency. Provides large decrease in plate current when signal arrives.-S.
