Step-down switching regulator using an SH1605. Output voltage is +5 volts. Available current is between 1 and 5 amperes. Input voltage is 12 to 18 volts. Line regulation is 2% with load regulation at 2%. Maximum ripple is 0.1 volt peak to peak (courtesy Fairchild Semiconductor).
