Input of1 v triggers SCS1 but not SCS 2. Input of 3 v is delayed in reaching SCS1 by R-C info. grating network and therefore triggers SCS2, which raises common-emitter voltage lo prevent SCS1 from triggering. - Transistor Monual, Seventh Edition, General Electric Co., 1964, p 433.
