Emitted by xenon flashtube, the light is transoprted to phototransistor MRD300 by optical fiber, after amplified, the photosensitive current triggers to a series of SCR components, then 6000V high voltage is added to load RL. This photoelectric trigger mode can avoid inductance delay of the general trigger connection. The SCR rectification component should have the same rise time, to prevent the slowest conductive components from triggering the circuit.
