The gyrator circuit has been around for a number of years. This active circuit can be used in place of an inductor. With two operational amplifiers (two sections of a dual or quad op amp are preferred), the value of the inductance simulated by this circuit is L=R1R2R3/(R2/R4) or, in the case where R2=R3, L=R1R5C4.
