This circuit provides a variety of outputs for battery-operated micro-processor systems. All of the outputs are under microprocessor control. A 5-cell NiCd battery is used for the main power source, with a 3-V lithium back-up battery One of the outputs is negative (and is controlled by a 5-bit on-board D/A converter) for LCD contrast adjustment.
