Doubling permits use of inexpensive 6.3-V filament transformer without risking loss of regulation when line voltage drops below about 105 V. With values shown, output varied only 6 mV for line voltage range of 95 to 135 V. Doubler circuit consists of C2, C3, D1, D3, D5, and D6.-A.
