Permits operation of 144-MHz transceiver from AC line at base station. If 18-V transformer at 3 A is not available, use 12-V 3-A unit and add 26 turns No. 20 tefloncoated wire to secondary in proper phase. Choose transformer having enough room for these extra turns.-W.
