Intersil 7227 microprocesso-rcontrolled timer provides direct drive for LED display under supervision of microprocessor. Tristate 4-bit data bus serves to read in control word such as up/down, store reset, or load, then deliver counter data, feed in settable register word, or preset counter to initial value.-B.
