PNP germanium transistor serves as interface for driving LED from emitter-coupled logic. Same interface can be used to drive 7-segment or other arrays that have common-cathode configuration, such as Fairchild FND10 or Monsanto MAN3. Optoisolator can be used in place of LED.-G. A.
