This circuit shows an LT1011 comparator biased in the linear mode and using a crystal to establish the resonant frequency. This circuit can achieve a temperature-independent clock up to a few hundred kHz. Linear Technology Corporaton, Linear Applications Handbook, 1990, p. AN20-12.
