40 MHz frequency and period counter. To obtain the frequency and period it is necessary to divide the 10 MHz oscillator frequency down to 2.5 MHz. In doing this the time between measurements is 800 ms and the display multiplex rate is 125 hertz (courtesy Intersil, Inc.).
