When there is incident light，the transistor of LDR photoresistor connected to the high or zero level. Amplification factor of transistor is β>100, resistance of the photoresistor is between 100 ohms to 100 kilohms, correspond to the bright light and dark conditions. If you want to control the high power load, the darlington transistor should be used.
