All three diodes are simultaneously controlled, to give excellent agc action over control range of 20 db, although insertion loss is high. Frequency response is excellent up to 150-Mc cutoff.-W.A. Rheinfelder, Designing Automatic Gain Control Systems, EEE, 13:1, p 53-57.
