Two diodes provide maximum agc control. Circuit gives control range of about 15 db with agc voltages to 3 v. Above 200 Mc, frequency response changes irregularly with attenuation.-W. A. Rheinfelder, Designing Automatic Gain Control Systems, EEE, 13:1, p 53-57.
