With 1N2933 germanium tunnel diode, power consumption is only 525 microwatts per transistor and binary stage. Circuit voltage and resistances are such that only one tunnel diode is in high-voltage state at a time. Silicon transistors, for coupling, can be pnp or npn.-E. Gottlieb and J.
