Totem-pole TTL interface drive for S55V01 VMOS gives appreciably faster switching times (less than 30 ns). To achieve fast turn-on time without unduly small pull-up resistor, which dissipates considerable power when switch is in OFF state, emitter-follower Q1 drives high peak currents into capacitive VMOS input.-L.
