Figure 9-35 shows a DAC0830 connected to provide a bipolar output from a fixed reference voltage. This connection is made with a second op amp in the analog-output circuit. In effect, the circuit gives sign significance to the MSB of the digital-input word, allowing four-quadrant multiplication of the reference voltage.
