Uses six CMOS packages to convert 7-segment display to corresponding four-line positive-logic BCD code for digits 0-9. Added feature is blank input which, when high,foroes blank code（1110 or 1111）into readout,for use in suppressing leading zeros with some types of data storage.Use 4010 in place of 4009 for Z6 when negative-logic BCD output is required.—R.
