Field-effect transistor serves in place of vacuum triode in Pierce oscillator. Circuit values are for 1 MHz, but tuned circult can be adjusted to other desired frequency. Q1 can be 2N4360 or T1M12.-Circuits, 73 Magazine, March 1974, p 89.
