Basic counter consists of ten modified bistable mvbr stages, Q1 through Q20, coupled in usual ring manner and driven continuously by timing oscillator Q31. Used for multiplexing conventional or random pulse inputs from Explorer VII satellite. Eight channels serve for information inputs, and fixed levels of 0 and 110% are applied to other two channels for frame identification.-O. B.
